Why Jesus was born Poor?

Why Jesus was born Poor?

For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”  Luk 2:11,12

On that day Jesus was born, people thought that the coming Messiah would be a political leader who will rise in power. Others think a man that will become great military leader mighty in battle. Some thoughts there is one coming whose status in life belongs to the rich and famous. Whatever was all in their mind, all expectations turn to be different who he really was.

Jesus lives in poverty. In fact he lives in total poverty, Jesus said,  “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.” Why he let himself in that deprived condition?

Here are the four reason:

  1. To avoid struggling for political power
Look at the politics today, the “crab mentality” is always in the minds of the politicians who want themselves to be put first. What’s on the minds of the follower of Jesus is exactly what in the minds of the politician yearns for power. Read Mark 9:33; Matt 20:20-28

  1. To avoid fighting and shedding of blood
From ancient days up to this days fighting and war never ceases. On the time of Jesus, there is one follower who is ready to fight and willing to give his life. His name is Peter who thinks maybe someday Jesus will reign and rule like a king and a mighty warrior.  But Jesus fight is not like the fight of this world. Read John 18:36; John 18:10,11

  1. To avoid proliferation of graft and corruption
Nowhere in the kingdom of this world is graft and corruption not present. May it be a corporation, association, or group large or small and of course in the government there are graft and corruption in some form or another. If Jesus was born rich, proliferation of graft and corruption will be in large scale and enormous. Read  John 12:4-6; Acts 5:1-11; Acts 8:18-23

  1. To avoid making of an idol
Famous person on movie and music industry are regarded as idol. That was natural for a lot of people who have much admiration on famous person. But not so with Jesus. John 6:15; Acts 14:8-18

In the Kingdom of God, if you want to be first you must be last. If you want to be rich you must be poor. And in this world, our fight is not against flesh and blood Eph 6:12.

Now if you want people to clap you, then become a Hollywood star.

Jesus the Name Above Every Name

Jesus the Name above Every Name
Philippians.2:9

Throughout the world, throughout the years and throughout the eternity, there is one and only name who is above every name.

  • ·         Everyday His Name appears on newspaper, radio and T.V.
  • ·         All over the world His Name are there in the large building,      hospital, in prison and           even in buses and cars.
  • ·         In every city, province, town and municipality His Name can be    found there.
  • ·         His Name is present in every nation, language and tribe.
  • ·         Famous names last only here on earth, but His Name will be on      earth and in heaven           for evermore.
  • ·         There are approximately 2,500 people per minute who utters His Name.
  • ·         There’s no one not even one on earth and in heaven who will not     confess His Name.
  • ·         There is someone who calls on His Name right now.
  • ·         There is someone who praises and adores His Name right now.

·
His Name is powerful the demons in hell tremble (even the evilperson flees) when they heard His Name.

Is there a well known and famous name that can surpass His Name?
Absolutely no one!!!

A tragic end this end of the year

I’m feeling queasy when I watched the news on Sunday night of December 28, an accident happened in a head on collision between a coach and an SUV. The driver of SUV and the four passengers on it died on the spot.

I cannot imagine when I saw the image on the T.V. and on the internet, those in the SUV are actually all pastors. Each of them has its own church in which two of them I know personally.

Also from the news, I learned that they came from a mission activity on the stricken area of Tacloban City due to Tropical Storm Haiyan.  They are on way home past midnight to dawn travelling when that fatal mishap happened. Travel will take more or less 12 hours.

Such kind of tragedy raises some question:

Is it human or mechanical error? The report said that the driver was probably felt tired and sleepy plus the condition of the road is wet. Image shows and on the report said that the SUV was not on the right tract. Some passenger and the co-driver of the coach have seen that the SUV is swerving.

Are their missions here on earth is finished? Comments are posted on Facebook said, their mission is finished and they have already done a good job. Now they are in heaven.

Is that a big blow from satanic forces? Post on Facebook said, he praised God because the other pastors left on Tacloban City are spared, that he said they were covered by God. It means one thing, those five pastors died because of having no covering from God. That means an open attack by satanic forces was unleashed.

On that fatal day no one knows exactly the answer, it is unexpected. God knows everything and He is in control of anything.

May the Name of the Lord be Bless...

May His Name be lifted Up....

Riches of Heaven are at my Own Disposal

Riches of Heaven are at my Own Disposal

By means of the gospel tracts I personally made I have the riches of heaven at my own disposal. Thousands were already given away and I’m glad most of them are read and kept by those people who received it.

What a great privilege and joy to do it!

Any person who is in Christ can do it too. Indeed it’s a privilege.

My Favorite Bible

If there’s a Bible that would be named the King of the Bible it should be the King James Version. It is actually my favorite bible. Sweet to my taste.

How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea,                                    sweeter than honey to my mouth!Psalm 119:103

I believe KJV Bible is the most relevant, the most valuable and accurate version of the bible ever.  It is because there is one very important word that was exactly translated in it. And that word is the “law”.  All modern bible versions put that one “word” into different translations that eventually makes the law which is the Ten Commandments somehow nullify by today’s modern church. Much then, the Ten Commandments has not given importance anymore in the lives of those who called themselves as “truly saved” and “once saved always saved” person.

There are two verses in the King James Version Bible that are significant and should not be set aside the law which is the Ten Commandments.

In the Old Testament:
The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. Psa 19:7

In the New Testament:
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. Rev 22:14

King James Version should be the bible version preferred to read and study by any bible- loving believers. The law which is the Ten Commandments must retain in the mind of a believer, for the main reason that the law is perfect converting (renewing, reforming, transforming, changing)  the soul -mind (Psa 19:7).

Bear in mind, the law needs to surpass to completely renew the (carnal) mind. It means to outdo the law “heard of long ago” by the law “but I say unto you” that Jesus teach (Matt 5:21-44).

Reading different version of the bible is also nice but only for comparison and reference. There’s no other bible like the King James Version. Pure Word of God is in there. So good and sweet.
